I have trained regularly for the last 20 years but in March 2011 I felt as if I needed to step it up a gear and joined Steve’s circuit class. When I first walked in I didn’t think it would be a hard enough work-out, the exercises seemed a little basic but they certainly worked! I didn’t realise what a difference doing full body workouts can make. I used to train numerous times per week doing strength training one day then cardio another but I now realise that working most of the muscle groups in one workout is far more efficient. I have noticed a difference in my bodyshape and fitness. Steve mixes the classes up so it is always challenging but fun.

I now have personal training once a week and have never done the same workout twice. I train in a gym and have a program to use in the gym on my own, which is reviewed regularly as my fitness improves. I can honestly say I work smarter in the gym not longer! I ran the potters marathon this year and was disappointed with my time. I have asked Steve to help me with my speed and timings and this is ongoing. I am aiming to knock at least 10 minutes off my time, without Steve’s expert guidance this would be impossible.

I also receive nutrition advice from Steve and feel far more motivated than ever before. I am no good at dieting and prefer to eat healthily burning off the calories safely. With Steve’s support and guidance I do take more notice of the foods I eat and try to eat for optimum energy and nutrition.

Steve has helped me to feel much happier and healthier in myself and I definitely recommend him as a trainer, he is very approachable, friendly and his workouts are fun!

Having cancelled a gym membership that I never used, and signed up for a marathon that I was very dubious that I could run I was looking for a way of investing in my fitness in a way that ensured that I would actually use it! Although very nervous during my first consultation with Steve, he really put me at ease and assured me that with his help I would be able to improve my fitness and be fun. This really was the solution I was after, there was no avoiding the exercise and in a job that demanded me to be away a lot it was flexible enough to fit in with my schedule.

I have since run the marathon, lost weight, and have found a motivation for other exercise classes and running outside of our personal training sessions that I have never had before! Thanks Steve!

As my wedding day was approaching my dress still didn't fit me properly. I needed to feel comfortable on my big day, and I also needed to look good. So I began to do the bridal bootcamp sessions with Stephen. They went really well, we started the training programme almost immediately, and we also began a diet plan. Within a few weeks I began to notice a difference. When my wedding day finally arrived, my dress finally fitted the way I wanted it to, after losing 1 and a half stone I finally felt better in myself. After my honeymoon, I continued to do the personal training sessions, attending them three times a week, since May 2011 to this day present, following a controlled diet I was able to lose over 5st. Training with Stephen has given me the positive attitude and the boost that I needed. On a whole my appearance has improved more than I could have imagined.

I can't thank Stephen enough for helping me through this. He is fun, bubbly and makes you feel comfortable during the training sessions and is easy to get along with. I would personally recommend Elevate Fitness to anyone. Thanks again.

Feeling fat, aged forty plus and weighing in at nearly 14 stone I decided enough was enough. I had seen an advert for personal training and although feeling sceptical about this, I approached Steve. The consultation was very thorough & my first pt session went really well. Steve gently broke me into using all the gym equipment and I even used the weights-something I have never done before. Feeling happy with how the session went, and very motivated by Steve who assured me that loosing at least 1 ½ stone was achievable – I started off by booking a block of 10 sessions, averaging two per week.

The sessions get tougher as the weeks go by, but also the weight is dropping off. I feel really good, and am getting lots of compliments about my weight loss from friends and colleagues at work – this really spurs me on and makes me more determined to continue.

I thoroughly enjoy the sessions – Steve is fun, approachable, strict, and reassuring, and doesn’t let me give up easily. In all I have lost 2 stone in 4 ½ months. I would recommend anyone wishing to loose weight, when everything else fails, to give it a try – it really does work!

Back in my consultation session at the start, I told him he would never get me running – ‘yes I will’ he said. I am currently training for a ½ marathon under Steve’s guidance - never say never!
